Together, the three channels are able to represent historical sensor data as a histogram, and Sensor Client models may request access to specific measurement spans from a Sensor Server model. These sensor types have one primary channel containing the sensor data and two secondary channels that denote some interval in which the primary channel’s data is captured. However, some sensor types are made specifically for being used in a sensor series. The sensor series functionality may be used for all sensor types.
